This house was everything you could ask for. Full kitchen, large rooms, extra towels, comfy beds, beach gear, short walk to the beach, an abundance of outlets, essentials and more. The hosts were quick to respond and did not require a long list of things to do before leaving. Franklin was kind and understanding.
We knew being on a busy street may be noisy, so we packed sound machines that blocked out 99% of outside sounds.
Speaking of sounds, our stay was during Tropical Storm Bertha, and the wind and rain didn’t even penetrate the walls. Very solid structure.
My only complaint is that the house wasn’t as clean as I’d hope. The baseboards had a noticeable amount of buildup downstairs and around the island, the floors left our socks dirty, the walls were pretty scuffed up throughout the stairwell, and the curtain at the front door was pretty grimey. The rugs also look like they need a deep clean.
All other surfaces were clean and free of dirt and mold. The showers drained well. All the appliances were functional. The keypad worked flawlessly. The water heater worked well, and the water pressure was strong. The washer and dryer were large and accommodating.
The beds were made very lightly, and I didn’t notice any extra sheets or blankets. These weren’t necessary for this visit, but those that like sleeping with layers will need to bring a blanket.
Outside of the weather, we had a great stay and would love to come back to this home.
